I'm a writer, obviously. Not a published one, but "a writer is someone who writes" Pat Schneider said and I have been writing as a hobby since I was maybe fourteen years old, that's more than half my life, it's something I love and hope I will continue doing for as long as I live.
I'm Swedish, born and raised, but the majority of my written work has been in English, don't ask me why, I have no connection to the language through relations or otherwise. For some reason though I have just always enjoyed writing in English and feel far more at home doing so than writing in my mother tongue.
Real life have always been a nuisance to me, ever since childhood I have been a dreamer, lost in a world all of my own, I made up stories and acted out my fantasies until I was too old for talking to myself to be considered completely sane and then I started to write instead.
As an adult, though, the nuisance of real life is far more relentless and I have to keep my nose to the grindstone to pay the bills and that often comes between me and writing down all the stuff that's in my head. Another thing that comes between me and writing happens to be The Sims 3, so I thought, well, why the heck not combine the two? So that's what I did and that's where we are.
